We have put together a list of some of our most common (and popular!) upgrades to help get you started.

StreetSide Design Options

With StreetSide’s pre-sale homes, you’ll get to select your interior selections at our state-of-the-art, award-winning design center! Here you will meet with interior designers and select all of your finishing’s & colors to customize the home to your taste.

If you’re looking for something with a sooner possession, don’t worry! Our upgrade options such as our fireplaces, feature walls, and blinds are able to be added in on quicker possession homes!

Customize Your Kitchen & Bathroom

Kitchen options & upgrades are endless, thankfully, StreetSide already includes quartz countertops, vinyl plank flooring & a tile kitchen backsplash in our homes.  Some choose to select options outside our standard offering, which can include a wider range of colours and styles. Some people are even choosing to have a silgranit sink rather than the traditional stainless steel one. This can have a more integrated look with the countertop.

You might also upgrade to cabinets that reach the top of the ceiling by adding crown moulding or a riser for a more modern look. You get extra storage space, and you won’t have to worry about dusting! Many of our floor plans, such as the Vista model, have an option to add a Dry Bar or a Buffet option in the dining room. Designing your kitchen cabinetry to allow for additional storage and multi-functional space is practical, and not to mention it looks great too. 

The kitchen isn’t the only area you can customize! A popular upgrade in the bathroom is extra drawers in the vanity for storage (you can never have enough storage space!). It’s a simple and inexpensive upgrade that is likely to increase your satisfaction with the room. Quartz countertops in the bathroom are included, so no need to do an upgrade here.

Showers & Plumbing

Other upgrades to opt for in your bathroom include shower options such as a low apron tub with tile surround or a walk-in shower with glass doors and fully tiled walls. These options don’t sound like much, but simple changes like these can take a regular bathroom and turn it into an at-home spa-like oasis.

Additional plumbing options that StreetSide offers are a garburator in the kitchen, a garage hose bib, and a gas line to the deck.  A gas line pairs exceptionally well with our Harley floor plan, which features a 10 x 8 balcony off the main living space, perfect for hosting BBQs during the warm summer months.

Fireplaces

StreetSide offers five unique electric fireplace options to add to your home to create a cozy retreat. A fireplace in the living room can add comfort & character, as well as having built-ins allows for more storage. Want to jazz it up a bit? You can add a vinyl plank, tile, or feature paint to create a beautiful centerpiece in the room! One of our favorite options can be found in our Abbey Show Home. Feature Walls

Create visual interest and add a focal point in your home with one of StreetSide’s different feature wall options. From shiplap to brick and from concrete to barn wood, StreetSide has put together the most popular options for you to select from. These accent walls can transform a boring space into a Pinterest-worthy room, without taking up space or making it feel too busy. Blinds, Lighting, & More!

There is nothing worse than feeling like you’re in a fishbowl when you move into your new home. Although seeing your new neighbours for the first time in your underwear may make for a great story, it can often be uncomfortable. For this reason, StreetSide offers blinds that are installed BEFORE you take possession! In addition to creating privacy, blinds can help keep your home hot or cool depending on the weather outside. We offer different options of roller shades, faux wood & dual shades. Each style comes in a variety of fabric colours, patterns, and textures.

Create the perfect ambiance in your home with our lighting packages, or add additional lighting to any room to enhance, brighten a dim space, and create a warm atmosphere. Our modern farmhouse lighting package upgrade is one of our most popular, and it’s easy to see why. This matte black lighting package is inspired by a cozy, welcoming farmhouse style and adds modern touches throughout the home.

Yes, there are potential upgrades in the bedroom too. One of our most popular upgrades for the bedroom is the feature walls we mentioned prior. Having an accent wall in the bedroom helps draw your eyes to the back wall and makes the room feel larger.  Some people are also choosing to have vinyl plank flooring in the bedrooms instead of carpet. This can give the room a more traditional look because it has the look of hardwood, and not to mention it is also easy to clean.
